FunStop is a Christian ministry of the First United Methodist Church of Denton, providing after school care for children in Kindergarten – 6th grades.
We provide care in a loving environment with a staff-to-child ratio of 1:7. During the school year, activities are planned daily to include opportunities in Art/Group Games/Outdoor Play/Gardening/Chapel and Mission Work. Academic help with the children’s homework and reading exercises occurs for an hour each day, provided by the staff and TWU & UNT student volunteers.
Transportation is provided from the following elementary schools:
FunStop offers extended care from 7am to 6pm, on certain teacher in-service days and during Thanksgiving, Christmas & Spring Break school closings. Various themed activities and field trips are planned for those days. Extended care is offered in the summer as well. Camp themes are organized around field trips to places such as Lake Sam Rayburn, bowling, the movies, the Dallas World Aquarium &The Forth Worth Children’s Museum of Science.
Tuition is competitive. Some financial assistance is available upon request.
