Rev. Jessica Wright

Associate Pastor / Youth Ministry and Mission

Jessica was born in Glendale, California, and grew up in Bryant and North Little Rock, Arkansas. She married Andy Wright, jazz saxophonist and private instructor, in 2002. They have one son, James Andrew, who was born in September 2010. After receiving her B.A. in English from the University of Central Arkansas, she attended Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University where she received a Masters of Divinity in 2009. Jessica began working as a staff member for a large church, then followed her calling to seminary and then through a pastoral internship at Flower Mound UMC and the Denton Wesley Foundation. Jessica provides leadership in Missions and Youth Ministry for First UMC-Denton. She is involved in the community through the Denton Wesley Foundation and the Attending Clergy Association through Texas Health Resources.
