Fine Arts Academy

At the First United Methodist Church Fine Arts Academy we believe the arts are a gift from God that gives us a means to worship and glorify the Creator. We also believe the arts help us to explore God and creation, its inherent beauty and its current brokenness.

Our teaching perspective is unique in that we purposefully and deliberately infuse our teaching with the Christian faith. This does not necessarily mean that you will learn your chosen arts discipline any better or any differently. What it does mean is that, as you learn, you will come to understand what it means to glorify God through the arts. Our hope and prayer are that from this perspective, we can enable our students to use their creativity to bring healing, justice andrestoration to a beautiful but broken world.

Private lessons are taught Monday through Thursday of each week and can be scheduled anytime during the day or evening through 8:00 pm, based upon open time slots and teacher availability. Annual tuition for weekly, 30-minute lessons is $810 for a 31 lessons taught from mid-August to mid-May and is payable in equal monthly installments of $90. Additional family members receive a discounted rate. Please contact the Academy Director (include email link) for more information.
